Pooled CSM Model

CSMs handle any account that comes through a shared queue. Used at scale for SMB / mid-market.

Also known as: Pool Model, 1-to-Many CS

Definition

Pooled CSMs work a queue of accounts rather than owning specific ones. Cheaper per account and easier to staff up - but the customer doesn't have a named relationship, which hurts proactive expansion and retention at higher ACV. Common for sub-$30K ACV. Pairs well with strong product-led adoption tooling.
