cRPO (Current RPO)

The portion of RPO expected to be recognized as revenue in the next 12 months.

Also known as: Current RPO, Next-12-Month RPO

Definition

Current RPO is the slice of total RPO that will become revenue within 12 months. Most public SaaS report it alongside total RPO. The cRPO/total-RPO ratio indicates contract duration mix - high ratio means short contracts; low ratio means lots of multi-year deals. CFOs use cRPO growth as a leading indicator for revenue.
